Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, situated on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, is a 39-story luxury hotel casino owned by MGM Mirage. It is connected to its sister properties, Luxor and Excalibur, by free tram service. The top five floors of the hotel building are occupied by the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay Resort comprises an area of 135,000 square feet (12,500 sq. m.) casino area and 3309 rooms. The Mandalay Bay Events Center hosts a number of concerts, boxing events, and UFC’S MMA pay-per-views.
The Resort and Casino was established on March 2, 1999. The hotel at Mandalay Bay, with 1117 one-bedroom suites, was constructed in 2004. A major attraction at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is the 11-acre (4-hectare) Mandalay Beach, which features a wave pool, two heated pools, a lazy river, a topless pool, and two restaurants. Other popular attractions at the Resort include a saltwater aquarium, the Shark Reef Aquarium, and the House of Blues.
The House of Blues Foundation Room, on the top floor of the main hotel building, features private dining rooms, a common dining room, and a balcony looking down the Las Vegas Strip. Besides, there are as many as 24 cafes and restaurants at the Resort. Mandalay Bay Resort also offers the world’s largest unobstructed ballroom in the country.
