Paris Las Vegas, situated on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, is owned and managed by Harrah’s Entertainment. Its architectural style is based on the theme of the city of Paris, France. The Paris encompasses a total area of nearly 24 acres (0.097 sq-km). It features a neon shape in the shape of the Montgolfier balloon; a 540-foot (164 m) tall replica of the Eiffel Tower; a replica of La Fontaine des Mers; and a 2/3rd size Arc de Triomphe. The Paris is connected to Bally’s Las Vegas via a promenade. It is also connected to the Las Vegas monorail.
The Paris was established on September 1, 1999. At present, it is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Its amusing television advertisements implied that it had ensured the authenticity of its reproductions of Paris culture, cuisine, and landmarks by looting the actual city. The Paris Casino has a sky-painted ceiling, a feature common in many Las Vegas resorts.
The back leg of the replica of Eiffel Tower comes down through the middle of the casino floor. Some of the most famous shows featured at Paris Las Vegas include The Producers, headlined by Tony Danza, and the Anthony Cools hypnosis show. The Paris also houses a number of world-class restaurants and the dance club Risqué, best known for its bathrooms.
