The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, situated on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, is a Venice-themed luxury hotel and casino, owned and operated by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. It is America’s largest AAA Five-Diamond rated Resort. Located between the Wynn Las Vegas and Harrah’s, the Venetian features 4,049 luxury suites and a 120,000 square foot (11,000 square meter) casino space. Together with the Palazzo Hotel and the adjacent Sands Expo Convention Center, the Venetian forms the world’s largest hotel and resort complex.

The Resort was inaugurated on May 3, 1999 by its owner, Sheldon G. Andelson. A major attraction at the resort is the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum. The four major permanent exhibits at the Museum include Masterpieces and Master Collectors: Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings; Art through the Ages: Masterpieces of Painting from Titian to Picasso; the American Pop Icons; and A Century of Painting: From Renoir to Rothko, featuring paintings by Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, van Gogh, Renoir, and others. The Venezia tower at the Venetian features a wedding chapel and 1,013 suites. Besides, the resort is also home to the Blue Man Theater, which was officially inaugurated by the Blue Man Group on October 10, 2005.

The Venetian Casino offers over 122 casino games, slot machines, table games, and a world-class sports lounge. Grand Canal Shoppes, an extensive indoor retail mall in the hotel, encompasses an area of nearly 500,000 square feet (46,000 square meters). Other attractions include the lake in front of the casino; the gondola rides provided in the shopping mall; and the Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax museum. In addition, the other amenities provided at the Venetian include 17 internationally acclaimed restaurants; an upscale grocery shop; the Canyon Ranch Spa Club; a 1760 seat Blue Man Theater, featuring the Blue Man Group; a 1.9 million square foot (170,000 square meter) convention space; the Phantom Theater; a 5-acre (2-hectare) Pool Deck; the Tao Nightclub; and Aqua Knox, an elegant restaurant, which specializes in seafood.
