New Jersey is located in the northeastern part of United States and has the Atlantic Ocean for a part of its boundary. New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware are its neighboring states. New Jersey is the 4th smallest state in the country and has Trenton as its state capital with Newark being its largest city.
New Jersey is nicknamed ‚Äúthe Garden State‚ÄĚ and has agriculture as its biggest industry followed by tourism. There are truly picturesque gardens all over the state that are beautified by natural landscapes and the seasonal horticultural shows only add to the grandeur. Visitors have a wide range of activities to participate in and with its moderate climate people from all across the country flock in all through the year.
Beaches of Cape May, Jersey Shore and Ocean City have some breathtaking resorts. Whitewater rafting, scuba diving, sailing, swimming, boating and water skiing are popular with residents and tourists. Atlantic City boasts of some world class gambling destinations while Jersey City is home to the Liberty State Park that holds the stunning Statue of Liberty.
Music is an important aspect of the state‚Äôs fabric and New Jersey has been home to several famous musicians including legends such as Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi. Also, there are several historically important sites and museums such as the residence of Thomas Alva Edison - preserved as the Edison National Historic Site. All these things make a trip to New Jersey exciting, entertaining and educational.
