General Information

New York is the nation’s third most populous state and is situated in the northeastern part of USA. Albany is the state capital and New York City is the largest and most populous city in the state and the country. Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers and Syracuse are the other major cities. The state is the financial hub of the world, with the New York Stock Exchange being the biggest in the world. Communications, international trade and publishing along with fashion and tourism are other active contributors to the economy.

New York is divided into 63 counties and has Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island as its neighboring states apart from the common international border with Canada. Three major rivers Hudson, Mohawk and Genesee flow through the state terrain.

New York offers exciting fare for tourists. The towering Empire State Building in Manhattan, the NY SKYRIDE a virtual tour of the New York City, the stunning Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Little Ladies Club and Dinosaur Walk Museum in Long Island, the amazing landscape of Manitoga – Hudson Valley and of course the world renowned Statute of Liberty in New York City are just some of the thrilling locations.
