North Dakota Museum of Art

the plains of sweet regret, north dakota museum of art

The North Dakota Museum of Art (NDMOA), situated on the campus of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota, is an official art museum of the State. This private non-profit institution was established in the 1970s as the University of North Dakota Art Galleries. The museum was given its current name in 1981.

At present, the Museum building features three exhibition galleries, a small restaurant, an elegant gift shop, and a video information room. The most popular exhibits at the Museum include the Under the Whelming Tide: The 1997 Flood of the Red River of the North", "Lewis and Clark: Rivers, Edens, and Empires", "The Plains of Sweet Regret", and "Bugs and Such". The North Dakota Museum of Art is a major cultural venue in the City of Grand Forks and is certainly worth a visit.
