The Oklahoma State Museum of History, situated in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is an architectural masterpiece and an internationally acclaimed learning center, which holds archives and research materials relating to the history of the state. The Museum aims at preserving and interpreting the unique history of transportation, commerce, geology, culture, heritage, and aviation. The most impressive exhibits include the history of local American Indian tribes, settlers’ life, and the life of Wiley Post.
Other main highlights of the Museum include Smithsonian quality exhibits, which depict the visions of Oklahoma; over 2, 000 artifacts and 50 topics describing the adventurous past of the city; and research and interpretive programs on the rich and diverse history of Oklahoma. The Winnie Mae Café, housed in the Oklahoma History Center, offers food and beverages to the visitors.
