Three Capes Scenic Route

The Three Capes Scenic Route is a spectacular expansion of the landscape on the Oregon Coast. The starting of this 40-mile (65-km) drive begins with the first destination, Cape Kiwanda State Park in Pacific City.
Although, Cape Kiwanda is no less interesting, however it is the smallest of the all other capes. Ascending to the summit of the cape offers a sight of the coastline as well as of the Haystack Rock. If you continue towards north over the hill, you will come across Tierra Del Mar, which is a small home community facing the Pristine beach. This area provides a magnificent view of the north direction of Cape Kiwanda.
There are quite a few turn outs and beach admission for pedestrians and automobiles. As you move towards the subsequent corner, you will reach Whalen Island County Park.
This site and park is contiguous to the most recent Oregon State Park with 200 acres (80 hectares) of exceptional wetland. Then you can approach Sand Lake recreation area with hills and campgrounds used typically by off road motor vehicles.
The picturesque route then will take you on a wonderful drive that moves in and then leads to the Cape Lookout, which is another state park, full of camping conveniences near the beach.
Trails and standpoints are abundant. Cape Lookout State Park includes almost each geologic and natural characteristic found along the Oregon Coast.
This park was named after Cape Lookout, a rocky cape that is spread nearly more than a mile into the sea. An all night camp is positioned in a classic coastal rain forest. The trip to Three Capes Scenic Drive can be unforgettable.
