Wallowa Lake

Wallowa Lake State Park is a place where one can hang out and enjoy to the maximum. This campground lies just in the middle of three giant snow-capped mountains and a huge, sparkling lake, the Wallowa Lake. The Wallowa Lake State Park is no doubt the best fun place for people of all ages. The beauty of nature is captivating in this place.
The lake is a popular fishing spot and appropriate for boating as well. Near the Wallowa Lake region, one can enjoy climbing wilderness trails, bumper boats, horseback riding, playing miniature golf, canoeing, and riding a tramway to the peak of mountains. Wildlife is plentiful in the region.
You can spot nearby shops mainly famous for gift items and a booming artist society which does top-notch bronze castings. Tours can be enjoyed via foundries and the outlet displays (which can keep anyone interested for a long time). Wallowa Lake acts as the gateway to visit Hells Canyon, which is known as North America’s deepest gorge. So, basically, there are many activities to be done here.
The area in the park and the boat ramp opens at 6 a.m. sharp everyday. Sometimes, most of the campsites get closed during the winters, but four spots remain open and the tours can be availed throughout the year. But, make sure you make advance reservation for it.
The park provides the facility of restrooms as well in case you have to stay. Great food is available from good quality restaurant in the park. It seems that the park was made with a concept of 100% satisfaction of visiting the park in mind.
