Old Town & Chinatown

Old Town & Chinatown is a very popular and great attraction for the city of Portland. It is a very rich and historic neighborhood that many walk every day especially on Saturday’s during the Saturday Market event.
Chinatown is home to many of the cities Asian immigrants who arrive in Portland many years ago and have made up the city to what it is today. Over the years however the Asian population in Chinatown has decreased with many moving to suburban areas of Portland.
The region Old Town is an historic landmark and was of the major water ports when it was at its highest peak. The MAX Light Rail is a great option to use for transportation if you want to see and make your way through Old Town & Chinatown.
Portland Classical Chinese Garden is a good attraction that you would want to see while visiting Chinatown. You might find it to be relatively new if you haven’t been to Chinatown in a while. That’s because it was opened in Septebmer of 2000 and continues to make the area look rich and youthful.
