Oregon Historical Society

The Oregon Historical Society is located south of the South Park Blocks. If you want to be a proud resident of the state of Oregon you have to know the history the Oregon Historical Society also known as the OHS will help you do that.
The Oregon Historical Society was founded in December 17, 1898 in Portland Library Building. You will see an amazing collection of paintings, photographs, and historical documents.
The Oregon Historical Society has been awarded grants from the state of Oregon to keep the organization up. The museum most extensive collections of state history materials, including approximately 25,000 maps, 30,000 books, 8.5 million feet of film and videotape, 16,000 rolls of microfilm and 12,000 linear feet of documents.
