Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI)

If you have planned a trip to Oregon and you have a passion for science, you have to make time to come visit the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry located in Portland. It’s museum is one of the best in the nation and will satisfy your every need about the nature of the world and all about what you have always wondered about science.
You will be able to interact with other visitors and many of the working crew at the museum. You will experience a great time out while learning new things that you didn’t know before walking in. One of the major attractions is the earthquake simulator, where many fans can actually feel and learn information on what causes earthquakes and how it is to be in one.
The museum was founded in 1944 and the current director is Nancy Stueber. It receives thousands of visitors each year who after visiting because loyal and regular visitors. It is a non-profit organization and even many of its staff members are volunteers.
There are some special attractions that attract many to the museum each year. Those attractions range from the Auditoriums and U.S.S. Blueback.
While in the musuem if you have young kids and want to focus your time on reviewing the collections in the museum you could drop your young children off to the Science Playground, where they will be watched and monitored by train professionals.
