Washington Park

Washington Park is a park that you must see and will wow you with its many features. It has has many attractions including the Hoyt Arboretum which was was founded in 1928 by a collection of timber industry representatives. Also inside the Washington Nature Park is the beautiful collections from the Japanese Garden and the International Rose Test Garden.
The Japanese Garden is marveled by the nature glow and similarities of gardens located in Japan. The garden is about 5.5 acres (2.2 ha) and located in a very private setting.
Statues can be seen in the region of such as the Lewis and Clark memorial and glorious fountians such as the The Chiming Fountain, also referred to as The Washington Park Fountain is named for the sound the falling water makes.
The Washington Park also has the state zoo which is call Oregon Zoo. The Zoo is home to over 200 species and they share it with what is known to be the largest elephant in the world.
You can also see memorials inside the zoo such as a memorial for Oregon residents who served and fought in the Vietnam War, which many veterans are honored to have. It’s nature and beauty sticks out for all the rest of Portland parks and is worth a visit.
