Great Salt Lake State Park is situated on the southern shore of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. This State Park/Saltair beach is located along Interstate 80, 16 miles (25.7 km) west of the Salt Lake City. It is at an elevation of 4,200 ft (1280.16 m) and is known for several recreational activities that are offered here.
Sailing and kayaking are two popular tourist activities at the Park. Full-service marinas and power-boats are made available for sailing. In addition to a marina, Great Salt Lake Park offers a historic Saltair, a thriving resort in the early 1900s. The Park is also known for wildlife viewing.
Several facilities are offered to the tourists for picnicking, swimming, boating, camping, etc. Modern rest rooms, drinking water, and a group pavilion are also made available to the visitors. Besides, there are many special facilities provided to the physically challenged. The Park offers breathtaking views of the spectacular lake and of the panoramic landscape that surrounds it. It is, no doubt, one of the best choices for your next vacation!
