Seattle Center

The Seattle Center is an entertainment center situated in Seattle, Washington. It is located to the north of Bell Town in Lower Queen Anne. This fairground and a park is spread over an area of 74 acres (30 hectares). The Seattle Center campus was initially the site used by the Century 21 Exposition in 1962.
The major attractions here include the Seattle Center Monorail, the Space Needle, and the Center House that was formerly called as the Food Circus. The latter includes the Center High School, Children’s Museum, and the Center House Theater. The Center House Theater is the home to the Book-It Repertory Theater and the Seattle Shakespeare Company.
Other important places to visit in the Seattle Center are the Fisher Pavilion, the Experience Music Project (Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame), the International Fountain, the outdoor Mural Amphitheater, the Fun Forest Amusement Park, the Pacific Science Center, the Seattle Center Pavilion, and the Mercer Arena. The Seattle Opera House, the Children’s Theater, the PONCHO Forum, Intiman Playhouse, the VERA Project, Bagley Wright Theater, and McCaw Hall are among other popular sites for performing arts.
The sites at the Seattle Center that promote Athletics include the Memorial Stadium and the Key Arena. The latter is the home court of Seattle Thunderbirds Ice Hockey, Seattle Supersonics, and Seattle Storm basketball.
Besides, there are a number of music, cultural, and arts festivals hosted by the Seattle Center. Some of these events include the Festal, Seattle International Children Festival, Bite of Seattle, Bumbershoot, and the most popular Winterfest. The latter is organized from November 24 to January 1 every year. It features concerts, musical performances, artistic and cultural performances, ice skating, exhibits, and storytelling.
