Located in the capital city of Wyoming, The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is a gem of all attractions in Cheyenne. From its amazing collection of historic horse-drawn carriages to the more than 60,000 artifacts, the compilation for visitors is truly delightful.
Established in 1978, the museum also traces the origin and growth of Cheyenne Frontier Days, a rodeo that stared in an unassuming manner in 1897 and later reached great heights through globally acclamation. Nicknamed "The Daddy of 'em All", this rodeo runs for a continuous 10 day period filling it with fun and excitement.
Explore the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame that has on display the significant contributions made by individuals, livestock and organizations for the success of the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. The museum also hosts the globally celebrated Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show.
In order to bring children closer to the remarkable history of the American West, The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum offers its young visitors an exciting ride through the history. Special exhibits, interactive sessions and variety of children's events are conducted to make a visit to this museum pleasurable for the entire family.
